Story of the Project

So Era by Saf is the very first clothing brand website I have developed. My client was a young Lady who had an amazing vision of bringing life to her dream of becoming an entrepreneur by creating her own Ladies’ Clothing brand. That’s how we started working on this project. Actually, I was referred to her by one of my previous clients.

As with all of the commercial projects I have completed so far, I first discussed her requirements, color choices, brand name, etc. Her main requirement was, that the feel of the website should be classical and elegant. So, I had to do some self research on classical and elegant similar websites before hopping on to prototype design.

After my self research, I designed the following UI prototypes using Figma. After some minor changes, I directly move to developing the website using WordPress Content Management System(CMS).

As I mentioned previously, I used WordPress CMS to develop this e-commerce platform. As the page builder, I used the Elementor plugin since it has all the freedom that a WordPress site developer/designer requires. To implement the e-commerce functionality I used WooCommerce. I included images of some of the pages I designed on the Era By Saf website. In order to provide the best possible mobile user experience, I positioned the website with mandatory options such as Cart, Search, and User account options inside the user’s comfort zone on the display. So, that the user would be able to reach those options without using his/her both arms.

When it comes to serving users the site content faster and securely, I integrated the website with Cloudflare and Quic Cloud cache. I didn’t use Cloudflare disk cache since I already used the LiteSpeed cache provided by Quic Cloud service.

Since you reached the story of the origin, let me finalize my small case study about how I developed this awesome e-commerce platform for the awesome Sri Lankan ladies’ clothing brand Era By Saf.
